So, we've broken it down to make life easier for those of you who are still undecided!

 

 

COALITION

LABOR

GREENS

HEALTH

Would provide up to 100 per cent of hospital funding without a GST claw back, if services and waiting times are improved.
Hospitals would be run by community boards of doctors, nurses and citizens.
After-hours GP hotlines would be scrapped and replaced by extra after-hours clinics.
2800 new hospital beds.
$1.5 billion dollars for mental health services.

Would takeover 60 per cent of funding for public hospitals if the States hand over a third of their GST revenue.
More after hours GP services including consultations via webcam.
1300 new hospital beds and a cap on emergency room waiting times to 4 hours.
6 thousand new doctors.

Dental care would be covered under Medicare.
Junk food ads would be banned during kids TV programs.
Cannabis would be legalised for medicinal purposes.

TAX

Would scrap the mining super profits tax.
Would reduce the company tax rate by 1.5 per cent to 28.5 per cent.
Bring in a 1.5 per cent levy on big business to fund a paid parental leave scheme.

Would lower the company tax rate by 1 per cent to 29 per cent.
Mining giants would be taxed 30 per cent on super profits.

Lower tax breaks for higher income earners.
Would bring in an estate tax on properties over $5 million.

ENVIRONMENT

Would rule out an Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) unless other countries put a price on carbon.
Rewards for businesses that cut carbon emissions, but no penalties for those that don't.
Will form a green army to plant 20 million trees by 2020.

A panel of 150 Australians would decide what action is taken on Climate Change.
Committed to an Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) that would put a cap on pollution and penalise businesses who exceed the cap.
Cash for clunkers rebate scheme to take old cars off the road.

Reduce carbon output by 40 per cent by 2020.
Bring in an Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) ASAP.
A renewable energy target of 30 per cent by 2020.

EDUCATION/TRAINING

Up to $2,000 off HECS debt for uni students who volunteer with community organisations
Leftover funds from the BER would go to school boards.
Cash bonuses for the best teachers.
Instead of laptops for every student, schools would be given a technology allowance.
Tax rebates on school uniforms, school fees,  tuition costs and special education.

Would bring in a national curriculum and an Australian Baccalaureate as an alternative to the HSC.
Schools that improve literacy and numeracy rates could receive up to $100 thousand dollars.
A 50 per cent tax rebate on school uniforms for some families.
School principals would have increased powers over their budgets and staff.
Cash bonuses for 'the very best' teachers.
Cash bonuses for trainees and apprentices if they complete their courses.
Cash for professionals to become teachers.

University would be free.
All TAFE and university students would be given a living allowance so they don't have to work.
Non-government schools would have their funding reduced.
Teachers would be given promotions instead of cash bonuses.
Would introduce public preschools.
