Household items from Michael Jackson’s rented Los Angeles property fetched more than $1 million dollars when they were put under the hammer across the weekend.
All furniture, artwork and other random pieces sold at auction came from the Carolwood Drive six-bedroom mansion that MJ rented, and lived in with his kids, while he prepped for his This Is It London concert series.
According to overseas reports, a kitchen chalkboard with the words "I love daddy" sold for $5,000, an armoire with a mirror and a self-written note by MJ sold for more than $25,000 and the rug from underneath MJ's bed sold for more than $15,000.
